Testimonials

Over the years, I’ve come across a bunch of grief guides to help me deal with the loss of loved ones. This guide stood out to me because it’s not like those cold, boring guides that just tell you what to do. Instead, the author feels like a friend taking you by the hand and guiding you through the messy and confusing journey of grief.

With strength of character and through her faith, the author shares her story of learning to cope with loss. Losing the true love of her life tragically and unexpectedly, its not about the single event, but living through the aftermath.

Although I am out of the season of being a young mother with babies I found this book taking me back through that season of time! It would have been helpful to read this as a first time mom or even in that season. Very authentic and inspiring. I am very proud of all the accomplishments the author has made.

I love having this book right there on my dresser. A fun bath tub, me time book. It’s so refreshing to stop and sit and read with my fav beverage and do just like the title says “take a sip, take a breath” and then somehow you feels more equipped for the GO! Part

I haven’t finished reading the second one, but her first book was filled with such honesty about how we all feel as moms at times. It is funny and real! I know all of us feel like we fail at times that is how we can relate through this book. We are all doing our best and our kids love us so much for that. We are their hero’s. Makaila really puts into perspective how being a mom can be funny, real, and the best hardest job we will ever do. Great read and especially during Quarintine

New and old moms need to read. The humor and the journey of being a new mom is spot on. I couldn’t have said it any better. I love the lightness of the book and yet it prepares new mothers and reminds older mothers of what matters. Wonderful book. A must read.

What I enjoyed is the honesty the author used to convey her feelings about motherhood – the doubts many of us have of our ability to be great mothers as well as the happiness and contentment being a mother can bring. It is okay to not be perfect at being a mom. The love for our children is perfect enough. Michaela invites you into her motherhood experience by combining a great sense of humor, wisdom and strength – perhaps making it a bit easier for the rest of us.
